About Me

I picture my mind as a long hallway, wide, with LOTS of windows and doors. The windows are all open with the sunlight streaming through prisms, shining rainbows all around. Every door is cracked open; opportunity, places to go, choices to explore, all waiting in this corridor. When I hit a bad door with something awful inside, I look in and say, “No thanks, not for me.” And lock it. Most doors are open. Very few are closed.

I’d like to share my open mind with others, and by others, I mean you. So please, feel free to link me, talk to me, or even contact me on AIM.

I hope I can amuse you, if not educate you with useless and random (and sometimes funny) information.

Hmmm, and what season is it in there? Shouldn’t windows and doors be closed during winter?

Hello! We thought you and your readers might like to receive a free full-length novel, Jumble Pie, a heartwarming story about two women, a friendship, and a pie. The author has two published novels (Penguin Putnam) and is providing this as a thank-you to readers!

Once upon a time, a guy passed out drunk in a hallway. When he woke up, he saw two closed doors in front of him. On one door was a sign that said “Happiness.” Now, he knew there was no such thing as happiness, so he opened the other door. There was a guy standing there with a baseball bat, who proceeded to beat the crap out of him, knocking him unconscious. When the poor drunk woke up again, he saw the same two doors, just as before. And since he still knew there was no such thing as happiness, he opened the other door again. And, once again, there was the guy with the bat, who again beat the daylights out of him. The poor devil woke up a third time and saw the same two doors, and still knew there was no such thing as happiness, and so he opened the same door, again. This time there was nothing! Nothing at all! The guy sticks his head in the door and looks around — nobody is there! So, in a panic, he runs inside, desperately trying to find the guy with the baseball bat!
